The Pitch

Football is played on a flat, rectengual grass pitch, the dimensions and markings for which are shown below. The outer extremes of the pitch are delineated by the touch lines and goal lines, and if the ball crosses any of these lines it is out of play. if a part of the ball is on the line, it is still in play.

The Goal

the Goal consists of 2 securely anchored vertical goalposts joined along the top by a horizontal crossbar.
