Sports Clothing Guide

Sportswear clothing is worn while taking part in most physical exercise routines. It is specifically made and designed for comfort, practicality and safety. To ensure the wearer stays comfortable during activities, sportswear manufacturers must take into consideration body temperature and climate when producing clothing. It is important that the clothing allows the wearer to remain cool in hot situations, being able to transfer any sweat away from the body using a fabric that can remove the moisture. Equally, in colder conditions the clothing should allow the wearer to retain heat. Spandex, again, is a popular material in this regard as the fabric works well as a base layer for soaking up sweat in sports such as mountain climbing and skiing where body temperature is maintained by layering clothing. Sports garments must be designed to withstand certain weather conditions, however and continue to be lightweight and flexible to ensure that the wearers are able to perform to the best of their athletic ability without any hindrance.

Sportswear, particularly sports footwear such as trainers, is also very popular as casual wear, being extremely comfortable and durable. A large number of sportswear manufacturers also design a range of accessories alongside their more traditional products. Articles such as watches, luggage, eyewear and toiletry ranges are very common and are considered to be extremely fashionable, especially by the young.
